Demand for customer success staff has kept rising even as other go-to-market hiring has tightened. Lightcast data cited by edX shows that customer success manager job postings reached 2,300 in June 2025, up 29% from 2024.
A company building a customer success team is about to buy customer success platforms, onboarding and adoption software, support automation, training content and product analytics, which makes multi-role customer success hiring one of the more practical buying signals for vendors that sell into post-sale organizations.
This list ranks venture-backed companies by the number of distinct customer success job titles they posted in the 90 days before this analysis, with ties broken by 12-month headcount growth, and then checks each company's careers page, funding and leadership against public sources.
Every company on the list had to meet four criteria:
Counts measure distinct titles in Landbase's job-posting index over 90 days. A title that names a city, region or language counts as a separate title, so several "distinct" roles can be the same job opened in different markets, and postings can include reposts. The counts are a signal of hiring intent rather than a count of confirmed hires.

Its careers board also lists customer success architects and two AVP roles for commercial and scale customer success.

New leadership for scale customer success points to digital customer success programs, usage-based health scoring and renewal forecasting across a large installed base.
First, distinct title counts often reflect geography more than headcount. Quantum Machines and Aikido each list one role in six or seven markets, and most of Sigma's, Litmus's and Constructor's titles are regional versions of one or two roles. Harvey, Podium and Juicebox are the clearest cases of segmented teams with different roles for enterprise, mid-market and scaled accounts.
Second, customer success is becoming more technical. Customer success engineers, application engineers, physicists and architects appear at Aikido, Litmus, Quantum Machines and Sigma, and DataSnipper prefers former auditors.
Third, the companies span stages. voize and Juicebox are adding their first customer success leaders and programs, while Harvey, Sigma and Podium are scaling established teams. Several roles open new markets, such as voize's founding US hire.
For GTM teams, a cluster of customer success postings is more useful when paired with funding, leadership changes, technology and data enrichment signals than when read on its own. Related Landbase rankings cover AI startups adding headcount fastest and companies hiring the most SDRs.
All ten go-to-market hiring signals in this series are collected in GTM Hiring Signals to Watch in 2026.
The ranking in this article was built from Landbase job-posting data. A search counted each company's distinct customer success job titles over 90 days, filtered by employee count and funding, and each company was then checked against public sources.
Landbase's web and CLI interfaces access the same account, datasets, and saved work.
For more complex requirements, the Advanced Dataset Creator supports filters, calculations, and custom output fields.
Landbase's data infrastructure includes more than 800 million contacts and more than 40 million companies across more than 1,500 fields, with enrichment from more than 20 providers.
A customer success hiring workflow could, for example, find companies that posted three or more customer success roles in the last 90 days, raised a Series B or later in the past year, and hired a head or VP of customer success in the last six months, then return that leader's contact details.
The Landbase CLI setup supports these workflows from a standard terminal and from AI coding environments including Claude Code and Codex.
Among venture-backed companies with 50 to 2,000 employees, Harvey and DataSnipper posted the most distinct customer success titles in Landbase data over the last 90 days, with eight each, followed by Quantum Machines and Podium with seven and Aikido Security with six.
Opening several customer success roles usually means a company has a growing installed base to retain and expand, is entering new regions or segments, or is moving upmarket.
They show intent, not confirmed hires. Distinct titles can be one role listed in several markets, as with Quantum Machines and Aikido.
Vendors of customer success platforms, onboarding and digital adoption software, support automation and AI, customer education and training, and product and revenue analytics.
Teams can monitor job postings by title, count distinct roles over a set window, and combine the counts with funding, headcount growth and leadership changes. Landbase supports this through job-posting data, enrichment, structured datasets and web and CLI workflows.
Tool and strategies modern teams need to help their companies grow.
