Data and wait limits

A preview is a sample, not a full export. Use get_dataset_fields for field names and the publish/download tools for a complete file.

Workflow and download approval

Paid workflow types include enrichment, qualification, research, contact enrichment, and similar-company expansion. Call without confirm first. When the result is needs_confirmation, show the quote or row count and ask for agreement before repeating with confirm: true. Keep the selected account_id on both calls, and on every subsequent workflow poll and download. An exact estimate is not always available. A missing estimate does not mean an operation is free. get_download_url also requires approval and reports the row count before the confirmed call. Limit rows with transform_dataset before requesting a quote if you want to process a smaller set. Use the transform’s output_dataset_id for the paid call so the quote and operation apply to the same working set.

Research search approval

search in research mode uses a separate conversation flow. The initial turn can finish with a SQL proposal and credit quote but no dataset. Show that proposal and wait for user agreement. After approval, call:
Replace the example IDs with the original research session ID and selected account. search has no confirm boolean argument. Keep the same session and account so approval applies to the quoted research request. Continue polling any returned handle or workflow ID; a completed quote turn does not mean the research dataset has been built.

Changes and permissions

Preview and metadata tools inspect data. Other tools can upload, create, publish, delete, or process datasets. delete_dataset requires explicit confirmation. Cancel a workflow only when the user asks to stop it; cancellation does not undo completed work or credits already spent. An approval argument is a client instruction, not an independent guarantee that a person approved the action. Keep your client’s tool-approval controls enabled and review changes and costs. Passing an account_id selects request context; it does not grant access to that account. For prompts that apply these approval rules, see the MCP prompt cookbook. For client-specific recovery, see Connect Landbase to Grok Bot and Troubleshoot MCP.
