# Search Companies

> Find companies by industry, size, revenue, location, tech stack, funding, and more.

# Search Companies

  The starting point for most workflows. Tell the system what kind of companies you're looking for and get back a structured list.

  ## What you can filter on

  20+ filters spanning everything a GTM team cares about:

  * **Industry, size, revenue, geography** — validated against Landbase's taxonomy so you get consistent values, not free-text guessing
  * **Tech stack** — filter by technologies a company uses
  * **Funding** — round type, date range, amount raised (last round and total)
  * **Job postings** — what roles a company is hiring for, and where
  * **Keyword matching** — search against company descriptions and keywords

  Filters combine with **AND logic across fields** and **OR logic within a field**. "SaaS companies in the US with 50–500 employees that use Salesforce" is one query.

  ## How it differs from Build Audience

  Search Companies returns **company-level results only**. [Build Audience](/docs/reference/tools/build-audience) returns companies with contacts attached, and adds semantic expansion, exemplar boosting, and inline qualification. Use Search Companies when you just need a company list; use Build Audience when you need contacts or advanced features.

  ## Result limits

  Search Companies returns up to 10,000 matching companies per query. Results are assembled into a table you can view, sort, filter, and export.
