# Install Landbase MCP

# Install Landbase MCP

Landbase MCP is a remote server. There is nothing to install locally: connect
your AI client to `https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp`, complete OAuth sign-in, and
verify the connection with `list_accounts`.

## Copy this prompt

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another MCP-compatible client:

```text theme={null}
Connect to Landbase MCP at https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp using Streamable HTTP and OAuth. After I authorize it, call list_accounts to verify the connection. Do not search or spend credits yet.
```

## What the client will do

The client should:

* Add `https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp` as a remote MCP server.
* Open the Landbase authorization page.
* Complete OAuth sign-in and request approval.
* Call `list_accounts` after authorization.
* Ask you to choose an account if more than one is available.

Do not treat a server appearing in the client's configuration list as proof that
OAuth succeeded. The `list_accounts` call is the connection check.

## Connect from a terminal

### Codex

```bash theme={null}
codex mcp add landbase --url https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp
codex mcp login landbase
```

### Claude Code

```bash theme={null}
claude mcp add --transport http landbase https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp
```

Run `/mcp` in Claude Code, select Landbase, and complete the sign-in flow.

## Connect manually

### Cursor

Add Landbase to `.cursor/mcp.json`:

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "landbase": {
      "url": "https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Connect Landbase from Cursor's MCP settings and complete OAuth sign-in.

### VS Code

Run **MCP: Add Server** from the Command Palette, choose **HTTP**, and enter
`https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp`. For workspace configuration, use
`.vscode/mcp.json`:

```json theme={null}
{
  "servers": {
    "landbase": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Start the server through VS Code's MCP controls and complete OAuth sign-in.

## During authentication

The client opens a Landbase consent page in your browser. Sign in or create an
account at [https://gtm.landbase.com](https://gtm.landbase.com), then approve
the connection. If the client is running remotely or headlessly, it may print
a URL instead. Open that URL manually to finish signing in.

Never paste access tokens or authorization codes into chat, source control, or
support messages.

## Confirm it worked

Ask the client:

```text theme={null}
Use Landbase to list my accounts. If there is more than one, ask me which account to use. Do not start a search yet.
```

The setup is complete when:

* `list_accounts` returns successfully.
* You can identify the intended Landbase account.
* The client preserves the selected string `account_id` for later calls.

Pass the selected `account_id` on every account-scoped call, including searches,
polling, confirmations, retries, and downloads. Account selection does not
grant access to an account the user cannot access.

## If the connection does not work

* Confirm the server URL is exactly `https://mcp.landbase.com/mcp`.
* Confirm the client supports remote Streamable HTTP and OAuth.
* Reconnect Landbase through the client's MCP settings and complete OAuth again.
* If multiple accounts appear, call `list_accounts` and choose one; never guess an account ID.
* If a search is running, preserve its handle and call `get_search_result` rather than starting another search.
